Fernando Manso has liked to draw since he was a child and it was his father, an architect, who introduced him to the culture of the image. While studying in the USA, he began to study analogue photography, which became his passion. He started working in the professional photography department of Canon España. After spending a few years at the advertising agency Contrapunto, in 1990 he became independent as a professional photographer in the world of advertising. Since then, he has undertaken many of the most important advertising campaigns in Spain and received important awards. Since 2006, he has distanced himself from the world of advertising to focus on the artistic path. In 2009 he was awarded the National Prize for the Arts 2008, awarded by the Real Academia de la Gastronomia.
