Dr. José Luis Rozas (Cáceres, 1976) studied Biology at the Universidad de Extremadura, where he graduated in 1999. Although he started his research in the fields of microbiology and immunology, he soon became interested in the nervous system, which led him to pursue his doctoral studies at the Cajal Institut (CSIC) under the tutelage of Professor Lerma. Subsequently, he devoted himself fully to research on the functioning of synapses in both Spanish and foreign universities. Back in Spain, he now combines his work in teaching with his activity as a writer.
