Oscar Caballero was a science journalist in Buenos Aires and a cultural journalist in Lima and Barcelona. In Madrid, he created the Society section in the first Cambio 16, was coordinator of Qué, and collaborated with the media Informaciones, Triunfo, Cuadernos para el Diálogo and Gaceta Ilustrada. He has been the gastronomic correspondent of Club de Gourmets in Paris since 1981 and since then he has also been the cultural and show business correspondent for La Vanguardia. In Leer he publishes his Letter from Paris every month. In Paris, he writes or wrote for publications such as Gault et Millau, D@H and L'amateur du cigare. He is the only foreign member of the APCIG, the French association of food critics, of the Société des Gens de Lettres, and a former member of the Académie internationale du vin. He is the author of some twenty books, including the first published on El Bulli and Comer es una historia, also published in the Planeta Gastro essay collection.
